Reflection
1 Corinthians 5:1-8, Luke 6:6-11
“Keep on loving”
The essence of Christianity is based on the commandment of love. In today’s gospel passage, the Pharisees were furious with Jesus because He put love above the laws of the Sabbath. Jesus saw the man with the withered hand and He was moved by love to heal him. Yet, He was judged and condemned for His act of goodness. Jesus continued to love without getting tired.

As Christians, love should move our thoughts, words and deeds. It is a constant challenge to love and keep loving, especially when we meet with oppositions and misunderstandings. Today, let us stay close to Jesus and allow Him to love us so much so that His love becomes our strength and motivation.

Questions for reflection:
1) Have I ever experienced misunderstanding and opposition when I tried to love? How did I respond to the reactions of others?

2) How can I spread love to the people I will encounter today?
