Reflection
2 Timothy 1:1-3,6-12, Mark 12:18-27
“God of the living”
Jesus answered the Sadducees by going beyond the law to the essence of true faith. Jesus intentionally avoided debates over the correct interpretation of the law. Jesus genuinely wanted the people to know and love God, and to enter into a personal relationship with Him.

Today, Jesus calls us to come to know and love God more so that we can truly enter into the true essence of our Christian faith. God is the God of the living, not of the dead. Therefore, He is the Friend of Life. He cares for our life. He suffers for our misery. He works for our wholeness. He is for us, not against us.

Let us be impelled by this God of life and put ourselves at the service of life too. When the God of life is the centre of our very being, we will live each day differently.
