“To You, I return it”
Today, we celebrate the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. What does this feast mean to us?

Jesus did not come into the world to be loved, instead, He came into the world to love with an everlasting love. Jesus’ heart that contained love was pierced by a lance. Today, we continue to pierce Jesus’ heart with a lance each time we choose to respond to Him by our indifference, self-centredness, pride, laziness, etc. Yet, no lance can stop Jesus from loving more. It only opens His heart further to pour forth blood and water which symbolize His complete self-giving to us.

The experience of the passionate love of Jesus should move us to give Him our all.
